Landheim Ammersee is one of the leading German private boarding schools, situated in a beautiful little spa town on lake Ammersee, approximately 35 km west of Bavaria’s capital Munich. The school is rather small and international students are given special assistance and individual support.
This boarding school demands German on level B2 - if your German is not on that level yet, you can do a foundation course first and then switch to this school. Additionally the school offers 2 weekly German lessons in a small group during the school year.

The School
The 10-hectar campus is situated in the idyllic foothills of the Alps directly on the west bank of lake Ammersee and includes 27 buildings and a private dock on the lake. It is a fully state-accredited secondary school with a languages branch and an economics branch. The educational ideal of “Learning with MIND, HEART and HAND” implies a holistic approach to education, which emphasizes social and practical skills in addition to academics.

Accommodation:
Half of the German students live at home, most boarders are international students. Students are accommodated in different boarding houses on campus in comfortable double and triple rooms with ensuite bathroom and WiFi. They are looked after by dorm parents and mentors. The school offers freshly prepared meals each day, preferring local, seasonal and organic products and ingredients from the region.
For health and medical support, an on-campus infirmary and a staff of trained nurses, supported by a local doctor, are available to the students.
